Cabins

Melkevoll Bretun has seven high standard cabins and a house for rent.
These cabins have amazing views to the mountains, glaciers and the huge waterfalls around us.
All our rentals have modern bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, living rooms, terraces, and a good atmosphere. The cabins are located right at the start of spectacular mountain hikes & glacier walks.

Large cabins

Large cabins 1, 2 & 3

Our three holiday cottages have been very popular for many years, and are a comfortable option. The bathrooms and living rooms are newly renovated, as well as with renewed living rooms and kitchen areas.

In our big cabins you can find:

Three double bedrooms -
one with a double bed, one with a bunkbed, and one bedroom has two single beds; - for 6 persons in total.
Shower and WC are newly renovated
Duvet and pillow - you can rent sheets, or bring your own
Fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher
Dining and lounge with a natural stone fireplace

Views of Melkevoll glacier, Briksdal glacier and Olden vatn (the lake).
Starting point for mountain hikes in the National park and to Briksdal glacier.

Extra Large cabin

Cabin 4

This cabin has three bedrooms and suits for up to 8-10 people with two floors.
It is possible to borrow children’s bed. In addition to the same facilities as cabin 1-3, this cabin is wheelchair friendly, it has a wood-burning stove.

The first 1st floor contains:
Two bedrooms, bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen and dining space, and a lounge.

2nd floor:
Large bedroom, and a cosy corner with chairs and table with special views.

Cabin 4 is on the upper end of Melkevoll Bretun, and has a fireplace as well as a big terrace

Small cabins

Small cabins 5, 6 & 7

These cabins are suitable for two persons, or a small family with one or two children. The cabin has beautiful views from the terrace, and have modern bathroom.

Here you can find:

Place for four people, one small double bed, one single & one bed sofa.
Duvet and pillow - you can rent sheets, or bring your own
Mini kitchen with stove, sink and fridge
Bathroom with shower and toilet
Living room area with sofa and table
Terrace with table and 4 chairs
20 m to a kitchen in «Utelada» with barbecue, bonfire and tables.

From the small cabins you are close to all the facilities like sauna, the barn house, café and reception. Still in your own corner in the campsite.

Holiday house at Melkevoll Farm

“Kvitestova”

This is a house that are located on Melkevoll farm, 1,5 km from Melkevoll Bretun Camping.
It is a house with a long history.
This house is over two floors and was fully renovated in 2020. You find it with top modern kitchen and bathroom, a beautiful livingroom & fireplace.
There is a terrace with view to the glaciers and waterfalls in Oldedalen.
From here you can walk to Briksdal glacier as well as other hikes and glaciers in the Oldedalen area. It is stunning views in all direction, incredible fresh air, sound of rivers and birds outside.
This is a house with a long history, uniqe atmosphere and now top modern with beautiful design after full renovation.
