Melkevoll Bretun Camping
Melkevoll Bretun is a camping in nature surrounded by glaciers, mountains and waterfalls.
You can find us in the inner end of Oldedalen, Stryn, in the west of Norway.
Our place is on the entrance to Jostedal glacier National Park and in walking distance to Briksdal glacier.
Camping
Our camping is built in harmony with nature around us. You can find your private spot between trees and stones.
Our communal building “Utelada” is highly appreciated, which has a kitchen, rustic tables around a big fireplace, and also barbeque tables.
In our reception building we also have a café and mini-market. In the service area we have sauna and a natural river pool for ice bathing, in addition to other facilities. We have plenty of drop-in places, as well as pre booked spots.

CAMPING CLOSE TO WILD NATURE
Every evening the sauna´s are warm, and you can cool down in our little river pool outside the sauna.
Around the camping you can explore and walk the Inforama path, as well as start the walk to Briksdal glacier, Oldeskaret, Mt. Kattanakken and Brenndal glacier.
We have a bonfire in the traditional barn house in the evenings, which is a popular hang out after an active day.
In addition to a small playground for kids, we have a huge area with “boulders” - climbing routes on the stones around the campsite. Ask in the reception for information.
In the beautiful Blue Mountain Hall we have weekly yoga classes.
Hikes & Attractions in the area
With Melkevoll Bretun as your base you can exlore magnificent hikes for both families and steeper trips for experienced mountaineers. We have also many famous attractions nearby.
Just a few minutes drive you have Olden lake, Yrineset and other mountain walks.
We are 20 from Olden and Loen, and 30-40 minutes drive from Loen and Stryn.
